1:48 (O scale) Double Shotgun House

A double shotgun house, a staple of the US Gulf Coast. Measuring 24 scale feet this is a double, with two separate sides for two families, making for a compact way of getting multiple people into one space.

These houses were first built in the early 1800s to fill the need for a compact house which could be built quickly. They have maintained their popularity over the years, particularly in the New Orleans area. Also makes an ideal cabin, post office, general store, or other rural structure. Suitable for 1:48 dioramas, school projects, and presentations. Vehicles and figures are not included and are for display and scale only.
